a small cooking pot (or Turkish coffeepot)

1 cup water

2 tablespoons Turkish ground coffee (you can buy this at a specialty store or buy regular coffee beans and grind them very finely)

granulated sugar, to taste (optional, but Turkish coffee is more bitter than your regular brew)

a white teacup

a small saucer or plate

friends (optional)

NOTE: The measurements listed here are for one cup of coffee. If you’re making this for multiple people, you will have to add more coffee grounds and water. The ratio is that for every eight ounces of water, you should add one to two tablespoons of coffee, but go according to your taste.
